We don't raise candles. We build bonfires.
A 9-month live mentorship program for teens ages 14–18. Just 10 students per class. Two days a week — leaving room for jobs, family, and real life. Real skills. Real mentorship. Real results.
Only 10 students per class. Becky Stromsdorfer reviews every application personally.
You Are Not Alone
These are the real thoughts we hear from moms every single week.
I know my teen is capable of so much more. I just don't know how to help them find their thing.
I want my children to understand money before they turn 18 and are figuring it out the hard way.
I want someone besides me pouring into them. Someone they will actually listen to.
My teen spends so much time online. I want them learning how to use it — not just scroll through it.
I'm scared I'm not equipped to teach them what they need to know for the real world.
I want a community for my teen. People their age who are going somewhere — not just hanging out.
Bonfire Academy takes the pressure off you and puts your teen in a structured, mentored space where they learn the things that actually matter in life — from someone who has been building businesses and raising children for over 20 years.
What It Is
This is a live, small-group program. Your teen meets with Becky Stromsdorfer and their classmates twice a week. They do real projects. They set real goals. They get real feedback. And by the end of the program, they have something to show for it.
Your teen reads, discusses, and sets 3 goals every single week. This builds the habit of thinking and planning — skills most adults wish they had learned earlier.
From knowing nothing to having a real business idea, a digital product, and a simple way to sell it — all within the 9 months.
Budgeting, saving, compound interest, stocks, and how a Roth IRA works. The money lessons your teen needs before they leave home.
Logic, worldview, ethics, and philosophy. Your teen will learn how to ask better questions and think through hard things with clarity and confidence.
Teens who know how to use AI well will have a real edge. We teach them how to use it — and how not to use it — in school, business, and life.
Every teen is seen and known. Small classes mean real relationships, real accountability, and real mentorship — not just a screen to watch.
The Weekly Schedule
Every week follows the same simple pattern. Your teen always knows what to expect. Everything is inside their Skool account.
Teens come having read their assignment. Becky Stromsdorfer leads discussion. Everyone shares their takeaways. Then every teen writes their 3 goals for the week. After that, the business lesson is taught — and your teen applies it to a real project.
A real finance lesson — with a money challenge they complete that week. Then philosophy: learning to think clearly, reason well, and understand what they believe. AI is woven in throughout as a practical tool for business and learning.
Teens finish their weekly assignments, post their progress in the Skool community, and give feedback to each other. Becky Stromsdorfer is available inside Skool for questions and encouragement throughout the week.
The Foundation
Information alone does not create success. Habits do. Every week inside Bonfire Academy, your teen is not just learning — they are building the body, mind, and soul of a person who can actually follow through. This is what most programs skip. We built it into the foundation.
You cannot lead well if you are running on junk food and no sleep. We teach your teen the basics of physical discipline — not as a fitness class, but as a success habit.
A clear, disciplined mind is the engine behind everything. Your teen learns to think on purpose — through books, goals, and reflection every single week.
Purpose, faith, and identity are what keep a person standing when life gets hard. We help your teen discover who they are and why it matters.
Every student gets a weekly planner built specifically for this program. It tracks business progress, health habits, book notes, and personal goals — all in one place. This is not a school assignment. It is a life tool. Many teens tell us it becomes the one thing they keep using long after the program ends.
The Full Curriculum
Every subject runs the full 9 months — building on itself each week. Everything is grounded in the Body, Mind & Soul foundation your teen builds from day one. By the end, they will not just know things. They will have done things.
12 great books read and discussed together. 3 goals set every single week. Semester 1 is about identity, habits, and courage. Semester 2 is about purpose, legacy, and leading others. Every teen finishes with a personal mission statement and a legacy letter they are proud of.
Semester 1 starts from zero: what a business is, how to find a problem to solve, how to create a brand, and how to make a first sale. Semester 2 goes further: digital products, simple sales funnels, email marketing, and how to create income without ever showing your face online. Every lesson ends with a real project.
Semester 1 covers the basics: budgeting, banking, debt, credit, and the power of starting to save young. Semester 2 teaches investing: stocks, index funds, Roth IRAs, real estate basics, and how to read a simple balance sheet. Every lesson includes a real money challenge your teen completes that week.
Semester 1: how to think logically, what truth is, what your worldview is and why it matters, and how faith and life connect. Semester 2: leadership ethics, justice, freedom, and legacy. Every teen writes a 1-page personal philosophy in Semester 1 and a full manifesto by the end.
Semester 1 covers what AI is, how to write good prompts, how to use design tools like Canva AI, and what responsible use looks like. Semester 2 teaches more advanced skills: building AI-powered workflows, using AI in a business, and understanding how AI is changing the job market. Teens who learn this now will be far ahead.
What They Walk Away With
Not just information they memorized. Actual things they created, practiced, and own.
Your Teen's Mentor
These are my bonfires. This is why I built this program.
Becky Stromsdorfer is the founder and owner of My Homeschool Village — a mom of 5, a grandmother, and someone who has walked this road all the way through. She has homeschooled for over 20 years, coached thousands of families, and built a real business from the ground up. She is not a chatbot, not a video series, not a hired instructor. She will be live in class with your teen every single week.
When I decided to homeschool my children, I was afraid.
The Bible says don't hide your light under a bushel.
I wanted my children to light the world.
What was I doing keeping them home?
Then God whispered something to me.
"Keep them home.
Build them into bonfires first.
Then when you put them on the hill
and the winds come —
and the winds will come —
they won't be snuffed out.
They will spread.
They will light everything around them."
Candles go out in the wind.
Bonfires grow.
My children are bonfires now.
They are out in the world, and they are lighting it.
Now I am ready to help you build yours.
Good Questions
Everything is on Skool — a private online platform. It is simple to use. Your teen logs in, attends live classes, connects with classmates, and accesses all their materials in one place. You do not need any other tools or software.
Live classes are Monday and Tuesday — roughly 2 to 3 hours each day. Independent project work takes another 3 to 5 hours spread across Wednesday through Friday. Most families budget 8 to 10 hours per week total. Because classes are only two days, your teen still has plenty of time for a part-time job, other activities, or family responsibilities.
Some families do join at the start of Semester 2. We review this on a case-by-case basis during the welcome call. If your teen is a good fit and the spot is available, we make it work. Reach out and we will talk through it together.
You get a quarterly parent update where Becky Stromsdorfer shares how your teen is growing and what to expect in the coming months. You are also welcome inside the Skool community to watch, encourage, and stay connected. Mentorship Plus families also get a personal strategy call with Becky each quarter.
Yes. The whole program is built on the belief that every teen has God-given gifts worth discovering and developing. Christian worldview, stewardship, servant leadership, and purposeful living are woven throughout. Families of all backgrounds are welcome, but this is not a neutral program — faith matters here.
The small class size — just 10 teens — is the reason this works for introverts. There is no hiding in a 200-person Zoom. Everyone is seen. Becky Stromsdorfer personally calls on, encourages, and invests in every student. The class is designed to build confidence gradually, not throw anyone in the deep end on day one.
No. Every class starts from the beginning. Semester 1 assumes no prior business, finance, or philosophy knowledge. Your teen does not need experience. They just need to show up and be willing to learn.
No — and we want to be upfront about that. Bonfire Academy is a 9-month commitment. When you enroll, you are reserving one of 10 spots for the entire program year. That spot could have gone to another family. Because of that, there are no mid-program cancellations and no refunds, whether you choose monthly payments or pay in full. We ask every family to be certain before applying. This is a serious commitment — and the results reflect that.
The Standard option ($997/month) gives your teen full access to all 5 tracks, both live days, the Skool community, and everything in the program. The Mentorship Plus option ($1,500/month) adds a monthly 30-minute one-on-one call with Becky Stromsdorfer directly for your teen, priority feedback on their projects, and a quarterly parent check-in call. It is for families who want deeper, more personal access.
Investment
Both options include everything your teen needs: all five subjects, live classes twice a week, full Skool community access, and direct mentorship from Becky Stromsdorfer. The Mentorship Plus option adds regular one-on-one time.
Full Program Access
or $8,973 for the full 9 months
✦ Mentorship Plus
or $13,500 for the full 9 months
Bonfire Academy is a 9-month program. When your family enrolls, you are reserving one of only 10 spots in the class. That spot belongs to your teen for the full program — which means another family was turned away for it.
Because of this, enrollment is a full 9-month commitment with no mid-program cancellations and no refunds. Whether you pay monthly or in full, you are committing to the entire program.
We ask every family to be certain before applying. This is not a subscription you can cancel — it is a reserved seat in a very small class. We want teens who are ready to show up.
Enrollment Is Not Always Open
Class starts September 8, 2026. Applications close August 15, 2026 — or when all 10 spots are filled, whichever comes first. Once the class is full, the next opening will not be until Spring 2027.
